"Realize your full potential and your ability to heal through self awareness, self management and self compassion."

"The healing journey begins with an awareness of where you are in this moment, and what may be out of balance or not working in your life."

"Understanding who you are, and how you are affected by these outside forces is the foundation for healing, personal growth, and development."

With this understanding you begin to identify what areas in your life need your attention, compassion, and self care. I believe that we all have the capacity to endure great hardship and to access our own inner resources for guidance as we move forward in life. In understanding the historical issues and behavioral patterns that do not serve you well there is a personal transformation that allows you to identify ways of coping and shifting perspective. It is a personal journey of acceptance and compassion towards optimal wellness.

I obtained my degrees from Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, California and from University of Victoria, BC Canada. I have more than thirty years counselling experience as a therapist in Victoria, and within community college/schools, and non-profit agencies.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I have also been a member of the Critical Incident Response Team for the Greater Victoria School District.

My holistic approach to counselling and psychotherapy integrates mindfulness practice and focuses on looking deeper to gain an understanding of the self and the pressures and influences you may be experiencing in context to the world around you.

My practice supports adults, adolescents, and families. I specialize in anxiety, loss/grief, depression, trauma, navigating life transitions, relationship issues, stress management, self esteem, finding meaning and purpose, and spirituality.

Clinical Approaches

My therapeutic orientation is a holistic and humanistic approach to wellness. I also integrate other therapies based on the client's goals and needs. These therapies include:

  • transpersonal
